Augusta Triumph/Ducati Race Team Tests Out the New Season | I was wondering just how sassy we could be with James Brown's first dip in the Expert pond and I'd say he did a great job with the competition. Talladega drew quite a crowd this past weekend. The weather was warm enough and the only thing to knock anyone off their stride was the wind. Several canopies bit the dust, including ours, but the anticipation of Jimmy competing against the Experts had our group excited about the first race of the season. There was nervousness, anticipation, and hope swirling around with the leaves. The David and Goliath syndrome seemed to run rampant as well. It always amazes me to see large RV's with super trailers parked next to someone who loaded the bike into the back of a pick-up and staked out a pop-up. Other than the number of crashes, it appeared that the season opener was a success for most of the participants. |
Mark Crozier Competes at Barber in Formula Xtreme |
|
| Riding the Augusta Triumph/Ducati Racing Team's "B" bike put Mark Crozier in a pack of Ducati's in Formula Xtreme. The Triumph Daytona 675 hung with the 848s and did well considering that is was not the "X" package. The race looked more like the showroom floor at Augusta Triumph/Ducati with so many European competitors. Congratulations go to Mark on his 15th place and being the first 675 over the finish line. We hear there are more good things to come. |

James Brown and Crew Survive Weather Woes |
| Saturday didn't promise to be too good for racers at Barber on May 3rd. Breakfast turned from bacon and eggs to hard rain, high winds, and very dark skies. It's hard to believe that things cleared enough to start racing with only a few bad areas left on the track. Of course, that didn't stop six and the spider from causing problems and taking out a number of riders. James let the Solo go and put all of his energies into Sunday. There were three Daytona 675s at the track, but the oddity of the day was that none of them competed in the same races. Congratulations to James for his finishes in C Superbike Expert, C Supersport Expert, and B Superbike Expert with 10th, 11th, and 15th place finishes. It's be a long layoff since Tally, but we're getting back in the groove. |
 Looking Out My Back Door
Something new is on the Augusta Ttriumph/Ducati racing scene. It isn't totally white and it certainly isn't red, but it is a 2008 Ducati 848. Considering there's some racing going on at Road America this weekend, my guess is that the bike marked with the Augusta Triumph/Ducati and Crozier Motorsports logos will be on the track. Did someone say Moto ST? |

| Congratulations to Mark and Nathan on their 6th Place finish at Road America. Bad weather and confusion on tires gave our team a bad start, but they finished 6th. I am really looking forward to their next outing. |
